The DS3231 AT24C32 IIC RTC Module is a high-precision Real-Time Clock (RTC) module that combines the DS3231 RTC chip with an AT24C32 EEPROM (32Kb) on a single I2C bus. It provides highly accurate timekeeping and non-volatile memory storage for data logging or configuration settings.
The DS3231 RTC is a temperature-compensated, battery-backed real-time clock capable of maintaining time down to seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year with leap year correction. Unlike many RTCs, it includes an integrated crystal oscillator and temperature sensor, which ensures excellent accuracy of ±2ppm (≈1 minute/year).
The onboard AT24C32 EEPROM offers 32 kilobits (4 kilobytes) of non-volatile memory, accessible over the same I2C interface. This allows you to store configuration parameters, logs, or sensor calibration data permanently.
A CR2032 coin cell battery holder is provided, which allows the module to keep time even when external power is off, making it ideal for data-logging systems, alarms, timers, and real-time tracking systems.
