When using a single rein, a pelham strap connects the bit rings to the shanks to balance the effect. As a leveraged bit, the strength of the action increases with longer shanks, making this model suitable for horses that require more influence, have limited mouth space for two mouthpieces, or are transitioning to combined curb and snaffle action. The single-jointed Inno Sense mouthpiece applies pressure to the bars and sides of the tongue while allowing tongue freedom, encouraging acceptance and engagement.
