Vintage late 1930s to early 1940s three-piece knit set with a short-sleeve top, skirt and matching belt.  Glass beads and metallic trim adorn the neckline.  Lightly padded shoulders add to the early-40s silhouette.  Sets are also great for mixing and matching with other pieces!

Best for a size small, but for a fitted look can be worn by medium.

Condition

Fair to good, with some mends to note.  All of my woolens are freezer-treated and cleaned to prevent pests.

The largest mend appears on the chest.  It is visible during wear, though the yarn is a close match.  It is the most visible as it is a large darn that does not match the knit pattern, though this can be charming.  See image of the top backlit by a window for size reference of mends.  You could easily wear a brooch to cover it!

The next most visible mends are near the armpit and on one of the sleeves.  Lastly there are several smaller mends on the skirt that are hidden under the top and on the back side of the set, as well as one on the belt.

There are also a few glass bead missing from the backside of the neckline, but this is hard to notice.

It presents well, but it is for someone who doesn't mind mends.
