This large pin measures 2"x 1.71" (51mm x 43mm). Silver metal with black enamel. Two metal clasps on the back keep pin from spinning or falling off. This enamel pin is inspired by a collage made by surrealist artist Max Ernst in his small run novel, Une Semaine De Bonté. It is thought to feature parts of an illustration by Gustave Doré, which can be seen in the distinctive style of the devil's wings. This gothic design features a woman in victorian dress kissing a man with wings. Has she been seduced by the devil... or is it the other way around?
