*This set is a dating conundrum.  There are many hallmarks of the late-30s to early 40s, such as a cotton-twill backed metal zipper made in the USA, a lucite button on the skirt, a wide collar and necktie detail, deco-style button placard, etc.  However, the skirt is short and all of the materials used were common from the 1930s through the 1960s.  So this was either made earlier and altered in the 60s, or more likely made in the 60s after a 30s/40s style.  Due to the ambiguity of age, the price reflects either potential scenario.
