Original vintage 1950s Lily of the Valley print bodice and quilted skirt dress set.

A stunning piece inspired by Dior designs and made by Susan Small. This set comprises of a fitted longline bodice with a sweetheart neckline and nipped in waist. Over this sits the most wonderful heavy quilted full skirt printed in the same Lily of the Valley design and embroidered all over. There are even hidden pockets! 
The skirt is fully lined.

I would style with a Lily of the Valley brooch for added detail and pearl drop earrings. Matching cream shoes as mules, stilettoes or ballet flats.

Age: 1955 /56

Condition: good wearable condition, light wear overall. The bodice is a lighter shade than the skirt probably due to more wear and washing and not having the texture of the quilting. The skirt has some very faint discolouring and has been thoroughly washed.  Dry Cleaned, Steamed and Ready to Wear.
As with most vintage items, this dress has been previously worn and is over 60 years old.
