Antique 1890s Victorian wool bodice with black soutache, handmade lace bodice panel layered with cream silk, and leg of mutton sleeves.  Exquisitely constructed, with baleine boning, cotton lining with hand-finished seams, handmade lace, and sleeves appropriately shaped for ease of movement.

 *Please note the fabric and lining is thick, so give yourself extra room inside the garment.  The dress form measures 34-24 and it was a tight fit around the waist.

Condition

Fair to good for its age, with several small holes on the wool.  The most visible is in the back near the sleeve.  There are a few tinier ones on the sleeves (see images).

There is also shattering throughout the silk that lines the lace panel.  The lining is merely decorative, as there is a supportive lining behind it, and the shattering is more visible when you pull open the lace as photographed.

There is also some light shattering of the silk lace ribbon that lines the waistband, which is not visible during wear.  The price has been adjusted for flaws and the bodice otherwise presents very well and is still fairly strong.
