Vintage 1920s chiffon beaded flapper dress.  Pleated rayon ribbon embellishments, draping detail at hip and glass beads create the perfect effect for feeling like a mermaid.

Condition

Fair, with visible flaws to note.  Firstly there is discoloration throughout.  This creates a stippled pattern where copper and teal interact, which I think is actually an interesting look.  The rayon ribbon is also faded creating an ombre effect.

Lastly, there is a scattering of holes on the left bust (see image) and several more small  holes throughout, including under the neckline, on the back, and on the draped hip fabric.  The dress presents very well, with the most notable flaw being the holes at the bust and under neckline.  The beads are in amazing condition.  With the right slip, you could minimize the look of the holes.

The dress should be worn with extra care due to the delicacy of the fabric and the weight of the beads, but it still has a lot of life left.  Price adjusted accordingly.
