Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley 2019 Bottling is the third release in Springbank’s revived Local Barley series. Made using Optic barley grown at High Cattadale Farm, this limited Campbeltown single malt highlights Springbank’s traditional production style, including the use of the distillery’s own historic floor maltings.

Matured for 10 years in a combination of bourbon, sherry, and port casks, this release offers impressive depth and complexity at cask strength. The vatting is made up of 77% bourbon casks, 20% sherry casks, and 3% port casks, creating a layered profile that balances sweetness, fruit, spice, peat, and coastal character.

The nose is spicy and honeyed, with notes of vanilla, light peat smoke, and Springbank’s signature waxy texture. On the palate, tropical fruit comes forward, showing ripe mango, apricot, soft oak, malt sweetness, and gentle peat smoke. The finish is buttery and coastal, with a touch of sea spray, spice, and lingering fruit.
