For sale here is a H.L. Leonard Model 50 bamboo rod -- eight feet and labeled for a six weight line but I find it nicely balanced with a DT5 as well. Serial #2540 from the Ted Simroe era. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length with no repairs. Medium colored cane with red wraps with green edges at the male ferrule and hookkeeper wraps. Down-locking aluminum reel seat with butternut wood spacer. Bright nickel-silver ferrules with oxidized guides. Includes original yellow factory bag and original labeled tube. Rod weighs 4 1/8 oz. Medium action. There are sets in both tips that can be removed. Excellent ferrule fit. Ferrules are 15/64 and 10/64. The rod has the original owner's name on one flat.
