For sale here is a Payne Model 205 bamboo rod from the 1950's. 8'6 3/2 for a 5-6 weight line. Excellent plus condition. The rod weighs 4.94 oz with the up-locking reel seat over spanish cedar spacer. A classic Payne rod with the Payne die stamp on the up-locking ring. The rod is wrapped brown with black edges. The grip is western-style and has been cleaned with no ridging present. Complete with ferrule plugs. No hang tag. The ferrules sizes are 10/64 and 16/64. Good ferrule fit on all sections. All sections are straight. Original tube with replacement bag. According to the owner, the rod received a varnish touch-up at some point, although it's hard to tell where it was applied.
