For sale here is a very rare 2 3/4" caged spool fly reel made by WH Dingley for retailer Carter & Co. This highly sought after brass pin caged reel has a single fixed check, which is adequately strong. Stamped D1 and 30 on the frame. Correct original and un-filed smooth brass foot. Original ivorine handle spins freely. No end play and no spool wobble - nice and tight reel! Very minor line grooves on side of frame by pillar. As with most leaded Dingleys, the majority of the original leading remains on the reel.
