In his third Bathurst 12 Hour, and in the fine tradition of top line motorcycle racers appearing in both cars and bikes at Mount Panorama, former MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi returned with Charles Weerts and Raffaele Marciello in 2025.

Raffaele Marciello narrowly missed the Shootout in qualifying 12th due to engine temperature problems, with the team granted extra running late on Saturday afternoon to ensure that the engine was OK for the 12 Hour race on Sunday.

During the race a drive through penalty for passing the #24 Method Motorsport McLaren GT4 under yellow flags at Turn 6 put them behind the eight-ball, before climbing back up to second at the end of the race. The result completed a famous 1-2 win for BMW behind the first place #32 car of Augusto Farfus, Kelvin van der Linde, and Sheldon van der Linde.

This 1:18 scale diecast model is scheduled to be produced by Minichamps and released in 2026 in a limited edition.
