A "Kamon" or family crest was created to serve as a unique emblem that represented a family's identity, bloodline or historical heritage from the 8th century Heian period onwards.

Inspired by these graphically bold and visually striking historical crests, our take on the "Kamon" is totally unique, and has been created perforating solid steel, giving the work another dimension in a play of contrasts.

The Tsubasa (Wings) Kamon crest pendant is part of the J+M_3 "Origins" collection. The crane symbolizes good fortune, longevity, hope and healing in Japanese culture.

Striving towards pushing boundaries, the universe of J+Mikoto deliberately combines Nordic design elements with Japanese aesthetics, creating something reminiscent and familiar, yet unique and conspicuous in the contemporary realm.
