SikaTop® Armatec®-110 EpoCem® is a three-component, water-based epoxy resin used both as an anti-corrosion coating for reinforcing steel and as a bonding agent between new and old concrete, mortar, or steel. It is especially suited for reinforced concrete repairs where corrosion of reinforcement steel is present, or for the preventive protection of rebar in thin sections.

This material is designed to be used in conjunction with SikaTop®, Sika MonoTop®, and SikaRepair® repair mortars. These combinations form an effective repair system where Armatec®-110 EpoCem® acts as both a corrosion protection layer and bonding bridge before mortar application.

• Anti-corrosion coating for reinforcing steel in deteriorated concrete sections.
• Bonding agent for concrete and mortar repairs.
• Recommended for use with compatible patching mortars in the Sika product range for effective concrete repair systems.

• As anti-corrosion coating: Apply 0.5–1 mm (20–40 mil) thick in two coats with 2–3 hours drying time between coats at +20 °C.
• As bonding agent: Apply at least 0.5 mm (20 mil) thickness on SSD (saturated surface dry) substrates, ensuring full surface coverage.
• Apply patching mortar within 8 h (+30 °C), 12 h (+20 °C), or 16 h (+10 °C) after bonding layer.
• Do not use with fast-setting mortars like SikaSet®-45, SikaQuick®-1000, or winter-grade materials.

• Temperature Limits: Application between +7 °C and +30 °C (ambient and substrate).
• Pot Life / Application Time: 2 h at +7 °C, 1.5 h at +30 °C.
• VOC Content: <10 g/L (low-emission, solvent-free).
• Not UV stable.
• Curing Times Before Overcoating: 8–16 hours depending on temperature.
• Yield (Coverage):
  • Anti-corrosion use: 8 kg (4 L) covers 2.3 m² (25 ft²)
  • Bonding agent use: 8 kg (4 L) covers 6.6 m² (72 ft²)
• Always mix full units (A+B+C), and avoid adding water.
• Use appropriate PPE; product components are irritants and sensitizers.
• For maximum adhesion, follow ICRI 310.2 surface prep guidelines and verify surface condition with a pull-off test.
