This is an unusual, vintage piece. I've had it myself for a while, but time to move on. 

It dates from the early 1960s and actually came out of a plane. Made from Aluminium, it is highly insulted (so would make the most amazing party ice box)!

Would have been used for keeping meals warm on the plane, stored on it's side, with removable trays inside (afraid i have kept those myself, but can send a pic of them in situ if required) 

I have roughly buffed it up on the outside, but could be done more if you are looking for a mirror finish, or left to dull down again)?

Would also make a great laundry bin perhaps? has an amazing lock mechanism on the top, handles on the sides and a lovely clean interior.
