According to a provenance letter from Carmine Lisella of the Jordan Mills Rod Company, this is one of the first ten trout reels Stan made, which were initially delivered by Harry Darbee to members of the Theodore Gordon Fly Fishers organization. The gears in this first batch of ten reels have 24 teeth unlike the later models which have 36.
