Annie’s boldness of stroke and use of deep rich color sets the mood of this dramatic painting. A large Brown Trout done in an Abstract realism style. The layers of thick oil paint, showing brushstrokes and blends, looked upon closely, seem random and aggressive. As you step back from the piece, calmness and atmosphere take over the feeling of an underwater depth. You can almost feel the trout breathing, waiting to dart after his next meal.
