Welcome to the Mythic North – northern Europe of the nineteenth century, but not as we know it today. A land where the myths are real. Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, based on the acclaimed art book by Johan Egerkrans, presents a dark Gothic setting steeped in Nordic folklore and the dark myths of old.

This starter set is designed to be the perfect starting point for roleplaying in the Mythic North, where the characters are members of the secret Society whose members have the Sight to see vaesen.

This module contains everything you need for your game night:

• Condensed rules for action skill tests, combat, damage, and fear.
• The complete introductory mystery The Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz, letting the players explore the headquarters of the Society itself.
• Codex Occultum, the Society’s old journal of vaesen to be used as a resource for the players.

CONTENT WARNING: The old folk tales often expressed dark and mature themes, and thus the Vaesen RPG explores such themes as well. This is a horror game and not suitable for children, at least not without the Gamemaster first modifying the content.
