The Roadways Racing #6 Holden VK Commodore Group C represents a strong privateer entry from the iconic 1984 James Hardie 1000. Driven by Bathurst front-runner Allan Grice and co-driver Steve Harrington, the car was part of a highly competitive and diverse grid during the final year of Group C racing.

Grice, known for his speed and consistency at Mount Panorama, brought valuable experience to the Roadways-backed Commodore, while Harrington complemented the effort in the demanding endurance format. The VK Commodore, built to Group C specifications, combined Holden’s proven V8 performance with the rugged durability required to tackle 1000 kilometres at Bathurst.

Although challenged by factory-supported teams, entries like the #6 Roadways Racing car played an important role in shaping the depth of the field. This model captures a genuine piece of 1984 Bathurst history, appealing to collectors who appreciate the privateer spirit of the era.

This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high detail sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage.

Comprised of over 40 individual metal and plastic parts plus multiple steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
