The ferrules are tight and pop when pulled apart. The cork is soiled a bit, but only adds character. This rod has a medium fast parabolic action. Nat Uslan was one of the first builders to produce pentagonal bamboo fly rods in the 1950's. This rod was finished out from a Uslan blank by a hobbyist rod builder. The rod is impregnated, Uslan's impregnated rods were from his Deluxe model line. Rod comes with green rod bag and aluminum tube.
