For sale here is an extremely rare Paul Hermann Large Trout Model fly reel. One of 20 ever made. 10 were made in RHW and the other 10 were made in LHW. This one is RHW and has never seen daylight outside of its red case other than for photos. The Hermann Large Trout utilizes the same double brake shoe drag as his salmon reels. 3 1/4" diameter and 7/8" inside spool width. Best suited for 6 or 7 wt lines and lots of backing. This is a single action reel, the only non-multiplier Dr. Hermann ever made with his salmon drag. The side plates are made of Delrin. The reel weighs ~ 8 1/2 oz. Comes with the original red reel pouch (not pictured).
