ABOUT THE AUTHOR

S. Yusenti Jamir writes drawing upon life experiences as a young child who moved from her birth country, Nagaland India to the United States of America and back. As defined by David D. Pollock, "A Third Culture Kid is a person who has spent a significant part of his or her developmental years outside the parents' culture." As a TCK, Yusenti is learning to build relationships to all the countries she has encountered in her young life. She captures wonderful memories and while some experiences have been painful, she manages to find you in all aspects of her journey. She embraces the complexities of life and learns to thrive. 

Yusenti is a 6th grader at The Maple Tree school. She loves to read, play with her puppy, and her piano. She is a big sister to Sayana and with her parents live in Dimapur, Nagaland India.
