Attwood PowerBase Light - Automated Light Mount - 6100-LT-7
The Attwood PowerBase Light (6100-LT-7) represents the next generation of marine lighting convenience. It is an intelligent, automated folding base designed to deploy and stow your navigation lights with the touch of a button, eliminating the need to climb onto gunwales or reach over t-tops in rough water.
The 6100-LT-7 is the "Light-Duty" version specifically designed for standard navigation light poles, providing a sleek, low-profile look for modern powerboats.
Automated deployment: Easily raise and lower lights and antennas at the push of a button, eliminating the need to climb or manually adjust gear.
Damage-preventing safety features:
• SafeGuard Breakaway automatically returns the unit to a stowed position if it’s struck, protecting the light or antenna and your boat’s hardtop.
• SmartDeploy Backdrive detects obstructions during deployment and automatically reverses the motion to prevent binding or damage.
Flexible mounting: Standardized patterns make it easy to upgrade and retrofit existing fixtures without complicated modifications.
Helm-friendly control: Works with typical rocker switches or multi-function displays (MFDs), offering intuitive operation without requiring proprietary controls.
Modular compatibility: Designed to be used with Attwood LightArmor LED all-round and masthead navigation lights (lights sold separately).
The Attwood PowerBase is more than just a folding mount; it’s a safety system. By integrating the light's movement into your helm's switching or a digital switching system, you ensure that your required 360° white light is perfectly vertical and visible every time you leave the dock at night. No more forgotten lights or damaged poles from low-clearance bridges.
One of the standout features of the 6100-LT-7 is Attwood’s proprietary Safe-Shield™ technology.
Obstruction Sensing: If the light pole encounters an obstruction while deploying or stowing (such as a garage door, a bridge, or a stray fishing line), the motor automatically senses the resistance and stops to prevent damage to the mount or the boat’s fiberglass.
Manual Override: In the event of a power failure, the unit can be safely moved by hand without damaging the internal drive gear.
Corrosion-Resistant Housing: Constructed from high-impact, UV-stabilized polymers and marine-grade stainless steel components to survive years of exposure to salt spray and intense sun.
Maintenance-Free Drive: The internal worm-gear drive is permanently lubricated and sealed, ensuring smooth operation without the need for periodic greasing.
Universal Fit: Designed to work with Attwood’s Light-Duty poles (usually up to 36"), making it a versatile choice for bay boats, center consoles, and pontoons.

Recreational, fishing, and cruising boats that value convenience and reduced maintenance
"To ensure the best performance from your PowerBase, use a momentary double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) switch. This allows you to hold the switch to deploy or stow and release it once the light reaches its destination. If you are integrating this into a digital switching system like CZone or Garmin Boat Switch, ensure the circuit is configured to handle the initial 'inrush' current of the motor."
