Native wildflowers, like western? blanketflower, Gaillardia ---, deliver beauty on their own, but also attract a variety of pollinating insects. Fritillary butterflies are one of the most noticeable visitors to blanket flowers (Gaillardia __) in both natural areas the native plant garden in my yard. I created this acrylic painting to share the beauty of both these native flowers and this delicate butterfly.
