For sale here is a Payne Model 200L bamboo rod in excellent condition. 8 feet, 3/2 for a 4 line. Full flexing medium action dry fly rod. Ferrules are size 9 and 14. Down-sliding cap and ring over spanish cedar insert. Agate stripping guide. Exquisite cane/node work. All wraps are in excellent condition. Varnish in excellent condition. The grip has some ridging in one area as shown in the photos, but this area is on the bottom of the grip, not where one's thumb rests while casting. The rod appears original to me but of course I cannot be 100% certain that it hasn't been given an overcoat of varnish somewhere along the way. Original tan poplin bag and brass-capped aluminum tube. Rod weighs 3 3/8 oz.
