Joyeuse Artistic Display Sword

The Joyeuse is the sword wielded by Charlemagne as his personal weapon. He was the first Holy Roman Emperor. This is a long, one–handed, double–edged sword with a solid brass pommel, grip & cross–guard. A number of artistic details are sculpted in the pommel & cross–guard, also a netted pattern is carefully carved in the handle to facilitate a non–slip grip. The blade is hand forged & expertly tempered from superior quality high carbon steel & has a narrow fuller cross section on both sides of the blade which gives it added strength, stiffness & straightness. The scabbard is made for good quality leather provided with belt hanger loop.
