Sony Rock Masterpieces 100, "Legacy Recording Series". This is the last album by Janis Joplin, the rock queen who died prematurely at the age of 27 during the making of this album. It was released in 1971, the year after her shocking death. Included "Me and Bobby McGee," which was cut as a single, and other songs. Produced by Paul Rothschild, this is her last album and is often called her greatest work.
