Ca. 1900 photograph, 4 x 5 inches, Mounted on an embossed card, 5.5 x 6.5 inches. Soil and slight losses at the corners, worn to rounded. Labeled on the verso, "Gary & Lois, Market St. Danville Pa." Danville was a major hub of iron production and these children appear to be from working class families. There are some interesting objects, like a watering can hanging in the tree, planks nailed here and there, whatever that stack in the foreground is. Two children with sleds, the boy laying such that he almost looks like levitating. Wooden plank walkway and lilting barn. Dreary and festive?
