A gorgeous vintage suit jacket! I believe it dates some where between the late 1940s and early 1950s. It has the flattering fit & flare silhouette, but shoulders are not padded. The shaping is done with princess seaming. I love the over sized collar and the elngoated bound teardrop pockets.
SIZE: No size label
| Measurements | Inches | Cm |
| Bust | 40" | 102 |
| Shoulders | 16.5" | 42 |
| Waist | 30 - 31" | 76 - 79 |
| Length | 26" | 66 |
| Sleeve length | 23" | 58.5 |
FABRIC/COLORS: The label identifies the fabric as 100% wool. The diagonal gabardine weave uses red and slate blue threads - the effect from a distance is purple, but there is a shimmer and changeability that highlights one shade over the other. I have seen this sharkskin effect before in taffetas but not wool gab! The jacket is lined in maroon satin acetate-type fabric.

CLOSURES: The jacket closes at the waist with a bound buttonhole and a pair of self fabric buttons, adding a bit of customized fit or visual charm. At the neck, there are a pair of buttonholes and under the other lapel, a pair of buttons if you are going for a buttoned up look.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
